Accessibility Statement

We want this site to be usable by everyone, on any device, whatever the connection speed and whatever assistive technology is in use. Accessibility here is treated as part of the build rather than as a pass at the end of it.

Targets. Every link and button is at least 44 by 44 pixels, verified across phone and desktop widths.

Contrast. The palette is built around gold on black at a measured 10.8:1, comfortably past the 4.5:1 required for body text. Gold is never used as a background behind white text.

Motion. If your system is set to reduce motion, the decorative movement stops - the hero video pauses, the client ribbon halts, and the parallax and section zoom are switched off. Navigation is never removed by that setting: the collection remains fully readable and reachable.

Keyboard and focus. Every control is reachable by keyboard and shows a visible gold focus ring. A skip link to the main content is the first focusable element on every page.

Without JavaScript. The site is built so that all content, imagery and navigation remain available if scripts fail to run. The collection falls back to a horizontally swipeable gallery rather than becoming unreachable, and no text is ever hidden by default and revealed by script.

Structure. Pages use ordered headings, labelled landmarks and descriptive alternative text. Decorative imagery is marked so screen readers skip it, and the client ribbon is paired with a plain text list for that reason.

We would rather list these than claim there are none. The site has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility specialist, so we make no formal WCAG conformance claim.

The embedded map is supplied by Google and we do not control its internal accessibility; the boutique address and telephone number are given as text alongside it so the map is never the only route to that information.

Testing so far has been on current versions of Chrome, on Android and desktop Windows. Screen reader testing with NVDA, VoiceOver and TalkBack is outstanding.
